A video review of the LG Ally Android smartphone on Verizon Wireless. The LG Ally runs Android 2.1 on a 600MHz CPU, has a 3.2″ 800 x 480 capacitive touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and aGPS. The smartphone will be available from Verizon later this month. Read the full review at: www.mobiletechreview.com
its kinda wierd that the droid kept the old launcher but this phone got the 3d one? even when they are both stock android 2.1
cool review thks Lisa
@possomcrast the droid comes with 2.0 stock…
@littleweapon12 actually now even with the 2.1 update it still has the same launcher
@possomcrast motorola said that the droids processor couldnt handle the 3d launcher and thats why they decided to stay with the 2D one. personally i think there should be a settings option in every 2.1 and on device to use the 3d or 2d launcher. the 2d is less eye candy easier on the processor and quicker probably also, while the 3d one is flashy and shows off some great animations.
is there a portrait keyboard?
@Britannic1915 no, only landscape but there is an on-screen keyboards that go’s both landscape and portrait.
@pobably911 dude i know thats what i thought the nexus one launcher is amazing its kinda funny how lg is trying to make there own version of htc sense hahahhahaha!
@KINGof100KINGs Sorry my bad i didn’t watch the whole video…..
Please Compare MOTO-DROID and LG Ally….Please.
@Britannic1915 If you didn’t see it in the review, then no.
Oh nevermind. There is one. It’s in another video.
will this phone work in the UK? becasue i know Verizon is based in USA only
and if so where can i buy
cheers
@naowiz Verizon is a CDMA network.. The UK is GSM so they need to create a GSM model for it to work
@MalcolmsonStudios
thx mate, real shame though
how much for a one year contract???
How legible is the screen in bright sunlight? I live in AZ and often write rather long memos while outdoors or a passenger in a car. I’ve been more tempted by the HTC Incredible but hear its AMOLED screen has real wash-out problems. Also is the lower powered Ally really going to be much different than the Incredible for typical use like reading news sites and maybe viewing video?
